In addition in to owning several other ChilledTech growcraft lights, I also own several of these 500 W X3’s. I own them in both the veg light spectrum and the Growmax spectrum. I will just say this: I used to think it was silly to have a veg light and a flowering light. Now that I own ChilledTech, it is essential to have both, but only if you want to stand out among ALL growers. These lights are phenomenal.

I purchased this light to replace a QB LED from a well known brand because I heard great things about ChilLED and I wanted a more even light dispersion across the canopy. WOW! This thing is a beast; heavy and high quality. It makes my old light feel like a toy. Very powerful which I expected, and very pleased with the light spread. I have this mounted at the top of my 2×4 tent and using the dimmer to get perfect light coverage for my plants. Highly recommend this company and light.

We appreciate it, Ryan! Happy growing!

I now have 4 of these, that should tell you something. My first one which has been running non-stop for almost 2 years is still going strong. I’ve had every light under the stars, HLG, Black Dog, Mars, California Growlights, you name it and I’ve had them. I stopped when I found these and will have nothing else but these..They last, run cooler than others, and are very very efficient

I am a carnivorous plant grower and I have been looking for a set of lights for my grow out shelf for plant divisions. I use the HLG 350R for my shelf for my mother pots. That shelf only has 2 levels so the 350R’s light spread hung at 20″ high is very good. I bought the Growcraft for a 4 tier shelf which needs a very good light distribution. At around 10″ high, the light spread is just about perfect. Any lower and the outer edges of my 4′ x 2′ shelf begins to dim and shadow considerably. I originally want to buy the X3 330w as that power was already overkill for what I’m growing and hanging distance. I almost pulled the trigger on some other light fixture but the recent October sale for the X3 500w allowed me to buy 4 of the light fixtures with each coming out even cheaper than the 330w version. I only have each fixture at around 150 watts each but it is coloring up my plants quite nicely. Color of the plants is important because people are more willing to pay a bit more for a plant with nice color compared to one that doesn’t even of the same cultivar. This is especially the case when posting plants on eBay for bidding. I’m hoping that since I’m not running the lights anywhere near their max rates specs that they will last a bit longer. This is how I justified the purchase of overkill lights for my application.

I can’t say enough good things about these lights! I bought 2 of them for a 5×5 instead of a single 1000w unit and I’m glad I did. I had 3 cheap leds for a total of 470w previously, I was actually taking my most mature flowers outside during mid day to get them enough sun. The lights got here quick and I had them running within a couple of hours, mounting the drivers to a remote board. Having 2 instead of 1 fixture allows for much flexibility, use of space and even better numbers on a par meter. Plus I can do 2 4×4 tents if I like. Results are incredible. Since my girls were used to mid day sun they were put under full 100% light and buds that I thought were about finished have doubled in size, no bs. I just harvested my first fully mature girl 2 days ago and more on the way. I’m a perpetual grower for the most part. I highly recommend these 500w units. Been growing since the 70’s with hps then tried some early leds and hated them. I have never seen the kind of growth I’m getting except for when using co2! I Love CHILLED!!!! G

I purchased a pair of the x3 500 watt fixtures and they are awesome! Super bright and the canopy penetration is amazing. I also have a single 160 watt bar for my veg tent that works flawlessly. I highly recommend these lights, you won’t be disappointed.

I bought and use a Grow Craft x3-330w and it works so well I bought two x3-550w during a sale. Everything about these lights are amazing so far. I cannot think of a realistic negative comment. I feel the quality and performance is worth the monetary investment. Customer service emails for general inquiries were promptly answered. From these interactions I feel even better about my purchase of a product that will perform for many years even if there are problems.

If my review doesn’t say enough, nothing will. I bought my first X3-500 and loved it so much, I saved my pennies and bought another. Being an experienced gardener and in my 50s. I’ve seen every light and clever advertising that you can imagine. I now own 4 X3-500 Commercial grade lights. I’ve researched and tried most of the big names, all of the most popular and these are hands down the best lights on the market. I grow bigger, more dense buds that are as frosty as snowballs and very impressive yields. Really follow the directions about how many watts and distance at each stage of the plant. 30% and 24 inches is great for Veg, any more and you’ll stress or even burn them. I don’t crank these lights up to near 100% until they are a little past half way and then its around 80%. These lights reach deep into the plant and with proper canopy management you’ll have popcorn buds that are golf balls. Then there is the customer service. I’ve never seen such kind, professional, hardworking, associates in my life. You’re not treated like a customer, you’re treated like a friend, bordering on family. They really do make sure you are happy. I don’t work for this company, I wasn’t paid to give this review. This is my experience over the past few years and it just keeps getting better. These lights run cooler which means more efficiency and more efficiency means better, bigger, and happier plants. The DIY kits are super easy to assemble, I have 2 of those and 2 commercial grades. Dont be hesitant about the DIY kits, they’re color coded and super simple to assemble that takes about 30 minutes. What really impresses me the most is the outter edges par. Most lights fall off more than 60% on the edges and corners, not these. Then theres the lights with hot spots like in the center and other random areas. This is the best par coverage in the game. These are hands down the best lights I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. They’re American made and owned and a lot of the work is by hand so the quality is top notch…Do yourself a favor and and buy them..You’ll be glad you did

Just about a year and 4 runs in on the Growpath X3 500W. High PAR using plant’s love it even some ornamental flowers took off exploding with new growth. I’m running my X-3 up against the Green Sunshine Company’s Electric Sky 300 V-3 to make it fair I’m running a Meanwell 320H-48v so Watt for Watt it is straight up competition exactly the same except for the spectrum which my Growpath is about 4,000 Kelvin and the ES300 V-3 is like 2,700 Kelvin. I have a ton of beautiful pictures documenting but it’s close from the start all seedlings same variety too Humboldt Seed Companys Blueberry Muffin and Purple Panty Dropper. The ChilLED Tech is off to an early lead.

Function with Form: I have my X3/500 in a 28″x55″x80″ grow tent and the PPFD coverage is excellent and on top of that, the light looks awesome – clean and neat. I set up a test in an identically outfitted grow tent but with a different light but nearly the same specs. I grew tomatoes in each. After about 5-6 weeks, the tomatoes with the X3/500 hands down outperformed the other. The plants just seemed to be so much more happy with the X3/500. In fact, the other tent was doing so bad, I moved the tomatoes outdoors. The only problem with my X3 tomatoes is that they are responding so well, they are getting very tall (and bushy). The low heat was also a noticeable difference with the other tent using nearly twice the water. I couldn’t be more happy with my X3 and I will be purchasing again. Thanks ChilLED for great products and customer service!

I got 2 of the X-3 500w for my 5×6 grow room. I am replacing a fluence spyder gen.1 and 2 Amare solar flares. Pros. A pair of lights that fit my room. Now I have great ppl. New(1000w) vs Old(1300w). (Each Amare had 4 cobbs with a burple ring around each. 660w for a 2×4 area. I retired this light. Moved the spyder to another room it fits better). Remote driver with a dimmer. Cons I wish this came in a 4 bar option that was less than 6 inches wider. Overall I really like these lights. These will make 3 Chilled Led lights that I own now. Good people, solid company, solid light is why I am a repeat customer.

Got this light because it is the perfect shape for my room. Shipped much quicker than estimated. Easy to set up and built like a tank. Super bright! So much light that I have to use the dimmer to keep the girls happy! A couple weeks after ordering this, I bought an X5 for my flower room.

After dialing in my setup, WOW! The spectrum is fantastic from a vegetation perspective although I’m about to flip 18 for 12 so in two months hoping for a very happy New Year. I would advise if you buy an oversized light be careful, while this super bright lamp stays cool as a cucumber it has the power to smash your project so if you have access to a PAR meter get it.

This light totally smashed my 2×4′ which I knew would happen but planning for future growth I bought a dimmer and it’s quit handy. Already want a second light to veg!

Love it👍! Awesome build quality and the remote driver is definitely a plus. The fixture runs amazingly cool, 96F on the heatsinks running for hours at 350 watts. Another cool thing is that you can buy and replace parts yourself, making it much easier to make repairs or fulfill a warranty. I’m happy with my purchase!
