Water Protection: Currently the Growcraft has no protective coating against direct moisture exposure. If moisture accumulates near the LEDs damage may occur. Make sure to point any sprays downward and away from the LEDs.

Start Slow – Growcraft lights have VERY high light output and unless your plants are already acclimated to high light intensity, it is best to start slow with the light hanging high and possibly also dimmed. Then monitor plant reaction over a few days and slowly adjust as needed.

I recently purchased the DIY 6-600. I’ve been a MH and HPS user for many years, I’ve been thinking of changing to LED for quite awhile. I researched many lights but never was confident enough in them to make a switch. I finally decided this year to give it a try and so far I’m very happy and looking forward to the end of this first LED project to evaluate this compared to my 1000 watt MH and HPS. It is very well built, easy to assemble and heavier than I anticipated at 50 lbs with the ballast. The light is much brighter than my MH and HPS and runs so much cooler. I was able to eliminate not only the hot as heck HPS but also the fan used to cool it. The dimmer switch works flawlessly.My project room is much quieter, much cooler and so far they look great, very healthy. It takes 2 people to hang this light, it’s much bigger than I thought. I have only been using 39 days but I dig it. If there was anything at this point I’d like to see changed it would be the attachment hooks used to hang it, just a bit larger to make it easier to hang. I had to buy LED glasses, it’s just too bright, only $15 but maybe they can be included in the future.

My 600 watt diy led kit is awesome i’ve grown for 20 years with hps and now that i’ve had a chance to use chilled leds there’s no question that chilled leds are the best grow lights in the world.
My current cannabis crop looks amazing, three weeks into flower and they look like 5 weeks in, absolutely incredible. Plants seem to want more food under my chilled leds but more food means more bud so im stoked.
Best lights ever I’m so happy i bought growcraft chilled worth every penny. Thank you chilled team and keep up the great work!

I bought 2 X6 lights and they are the best lights I’ve ever used. Two fill a 4’*8′ tent and provide great, uniform light over the whole canopy. My plants are loving them
Packaging was excellent, everything arrived in great shape. Took the expected 20 days, no problems. The build was easy and the kit is very comprehensive, including spare screws and matching screwdriver bits
I was able to buy additional 48V cable allowing me to mount the Meanwell drivers outside my grow tent. This has definitely reduced the temperatures in the tent. Sales was super helpful with that issue. I also bought connectors for the 48V cable and I can highly recommend them over the supplied WAGOs.
The lights run cool, the aluminium heatsinks are only warm to the touch after 12 hours. Because they are so slim they can get closer to the top of my tent and gives me back 6-12″ of height
Things I would like to see improved:
– Weight, a lot of that weight is in the steel channels & caps on either end of the light, do they need to be steel?
– Hangers, one hanger in each corner means you need easy access to all four corners of a 4×4 grow tent and it gets worse in a 4×8
– Connecting wires between distribution PCB and light bar / connectors. A 2 pole socket and short wires with matching plugs would be so much nicer and easier to assemble. Cutting, stripping and inserting jumper wires is time consuming and error prone
I’m giving these lights a well deserved 5 stars, highly recommended

The Light seems solid and looking at it at eye level it looks straight , square, and flat so far. It’s hard to adjust the light height because it hangs in four different spots spread out. The one in the back corner i have to move all my plants then bend under the light if I want to adjust my light height. With that said I have hit my head at lest twice trying to work on my plants bending into just water and stuff. The corner need to be rounded or padded some how maybe glow in the dark tape also hitting you head on this light hurts. One other thing I am worried about is just cleaning the light it has a lot of flat area for dust, dirt, and things to collect over time harder to keep clean. The led diodes are only covered with a thin layer of something no protection around them and it does seem likely they could be damaged from just working under the light or cleaning the light. The ability to adjust the light brightness is about the only cool thing about this light and has already save me because I could turn down the light. Also the low heat out put my grow room is much cooler my plants like it. For a full spectrum light it seems really amber of a color on my plants leaves to me making them look more yellow or burnt then they really are when I look at the leaves under normal led lights outside the grow room they look healthier I guess that’s a good thing. I also don’t like the two soffit ends looking down the light in the room I see places bugs or just dirt to get into and hide I like things seal up with no crevices up and down the light so I can see in and clean everything just in case there’s a pest problem or fungus in the grow space. Really I purchase this light because of migro reviews and it was American made most of all. Over all I feel just ok that this light is going to last the lifetime they say it will. Only time will tell happy shopping

First of all thank you for writing such an extensive review, we appreciate the feedback.
As far as hitting your head on the light… We are currently in the process of discussing ideas for optional bumper/guards to avoid this issue.
Cleaning your light is very simple, we created a social media post to address this recently but I will tell you that some Iso alcohol misted onto a microfiber is a great way we suggest to clean your light.
I know you mentioned the amber color but one thing you may not know about Growcraft spectrum is that it was tested at 93 CRI, which means it is very accurate to how colors are represented in natural light.

Great customer service, I asked lots of questions and they always took the time to answer them. The light is really easy to assemble, very solid design, it doesn’t twist and there’s no chance of the bars coming off the main frame. Also has very even light spread. Definitely worth the $ 😎

Super easy to build and quick, took about 30 minutes to assemble. So far i’m having great results with the new light. Strong build quality as well, everything went together easily. Also great customer service, I reached out to them and they got back to me within minutes. I would recommend this grow light for beginners and advanced growers! Better get one of these lights while there on sale. Its worth the 15-20 day wait time at the moment because of the virus.

It was easy to place the order on line I had a couple of question I wanted answers for before I placed my order
So i sent my question and got a answer back that same day and it was very helpful and told me what i needed to know
I placed my order an it only took about 14 days from the order until my lights arrived
the packaging on the lights was solid a place for everything and everything was in its place
Opening the box you start to see the quality and it very impressive
I laid it all out on my table and check to see if it was all there and everything I needed was there
As I assembled the lights you see just how well there made very nice lights
I just got some plants under these lights this week
I’m very impressed with these lights the ability to control the power out put and the color of the light we can see
is white so its vary easy to see what your plants look like this is a plus
Oh ya also no noise no fans needed with these light and after being on all day you can put your hand anyware just warm not hot and this works perfect with the DWC system that is also very quite
These are great lights and the service that i received with my question and the fast shipping was great as well

Fantastic product. Well manufactured and superior performance. Check out the lab reports! I have a couple of the Chilled Logic 660 and I love them, but the new Growcraft is a huge upgrade. Before I even bought the light I’ll say I was very skeptical about shelling out that kind of coin ($899) for a light that I HAD TO BUILD… It wasn’t because I doubted the light, it was “what if I wired it wrong and messed it up”, but I went ahead and bought it. I watched videos while I built it. Paused when needed. Super easy and I mean super easy. If you follow step by step, you can’t go wrong. After 2 weeks of using the light, I can tell the difference! Aussies……This light will end up costing over $2200.00. I made a mistake buying this this wonderful light but the the only mailing option cost $438.00 AUD. The the wonderful Australian Government then charged me 10% on top the a further $88.00 on top of that again. Retrospectively I could have purchased 2x ES300 electric sky`s with 300 bucks to spare. This is not Chilled fault by any means just teh sad fact of living in a country founded and still run by criminals.
