Well I had planned a full review at the completion of this run. However we had an AC go out at the worst week and didn’t catch it for close to 24 hours. So will not be able to provide reliable finish comparison data against the data from prior runs with the standard china pink cobs we had been using. Basics are we had between 4 and 6 china pink cob lights rated at theoretical 600W each (true draw of 120W each) in each 4×4 controlled space. So theoretically we are comparing theoretical 2400W china cob light (with T5 for some extra spectrum range), to a single true 1000W 6 bar Chilled light.

Even with the AC breakdown, I can already say the light is exceptional, possibly the best bang for the buck, I’ve had in this hobby. As others have noted I have been unable to turn the light full on as it is almost too much for a 4×4 space with tall plants. I can say just based on prior runs the increase in production quantity, and for sure quality is incredible. I almost feel like I’ve wasted the last five years under the cheap lights, but did learn what I needed to make the Chilled lights worth the investment.

The light is super simple to assemble, performs well beyond expectations, puts off almost no heat, and easily will provide more than adequate light spread over a 5×5 space. We have already ordered another and are expanding from 2 4×4’s to a single 6×12 room just because the light is so good that it makes the investment worth it. I cannot overstate how much these lights are worth obtaining if you seriously want the best light you can get at what i feel is an affordable price. As a bonus they have immediately responded to any questions I have had, so the customer service is top notch.

Can’t wait to get the next light that is on order and have plans for two more over the next year or so at another spot. I have looked at and tried a lot of “cheap” lights over a half decade and used the china pinks simply because I could stuff more quantity of light in a space for half the cost or less of “pro” lights I could find (and afford), and replace them (one about every 16 months) when they went bad and still not spend what a “pro light was going to cost and yield me in the end. If you are looking for a quality pro level light, that will last probably forever, at an affordable price, that beats buying cases of china lights, and you want to improve your quality and yield, you can’t lose on these Chilled lights in my opinion.

I must begin with a score of incomplete, but, at this point, I am completely satisfied. I have it mounted in a 5×9 tent with a second smaller light to flower 3 plants. Hanging at 24″ above canopy height and power turned down to 600W total. This is part of the incomplete score because I can’t crank it up to the full 1000W until I have it set up differently for my next grow. The light output far surpasses anything I’ve used in the past and my canopy is full and even. I have not had the light in operation long so I will have to follow up. DIY kit was quite easy to build. If you can afford it, you’ll never need to buy another.

This light is check so many boxes
Unbeatable ppf readings, cost per micro-mol is low, available in diy assemblies, goes together with ease, build quality is top notch, super low profile, spectral quality is excellent, efficiency is as good as or better than anybody in the industry, externally mountable drivers. The list goes on and one and on! Blown away by this light! Only thing I’d like to see is an ability to add UV which is actually coming

Awesome light ! Very easy to assemble and very well built. Only have had light for 1 week par readings are great for a 5×5 grow tent. Will leave further details on how light is coming along in future. 5 star light so far from what I see real bang for the price and very competitive against other brands such as California light works, gavita, crecer, blackdog, king spectrum, hlg horticulture and whoever else you can name. Great light great pars = big yields
