Just had my first live interview this past Sunday via YouTube Live with Growmau5! We planned for around 30 minutes but time went by so fast that before we knew it we were at 2 hours and still had a ton of topics left to cover. So looks like we will need to do a few more in order to get everything covered.
In this interview, we first covered LED grow light metrics and how you need to start thinking of light acquisition decisions in terms of cost per micromole of light instead of just watts. Watts only gives you part of the picture, how much electricity you will be using for each grow light fixture. Watts doesn’t tell you absolutely anything about how much light the grow light fixture will emit. In order to figure out how much light the unit will emit you need to know its efficacy along with watts or its PPF (Photosynthetic Photon Flux). Then you can understand how much light the fixture emits per watt of energy used and also figure out how much it costs to buy each unit of light for a fixture.

When you consider your purchase in terms of actually buying light (the bright stuff coming out of a grow light fixture) instead of buying watts then you can more accurately see how much a unit of light energy costs in any grow light product.
Then we got into the actual Gen 2 LED grow light products, mainly the new LED PCB, lab tests, efficiency, heat sinks and the waterproof design. We covered a lot of interesting topics and I enjoyed participating in the interview quite a bit.
